Konstantin Dubkov

Konstantin Dubkov aka Folco (b.1976, Yekaterinburg)

Comics artist, illustrator, storyboard artist for feature film and advertising, concept artist.

Trained at the I.D. Shadra College of Art in Yekaterinburg and the Ural State Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture.

Started to draw comics in the 5th grade. In 2000 began publishing his cartoons on the children’s page of the weekly newspaper Telenedelya. As well as drawing, has also worked to popularise comics through lectures, master classes and exhibitions.

Helped put together the Manga vs Comics exhibition (V.G. Belinsky Library, Yekaterinburg); jury member at the Federal Festival of Visual Arts (Alliance Francaise — Yekaterinburg); worked as a comics specialist at an art camp for kids (Art Area Vision, Tigra); founder of discussion and information group Club 9; organiser of picture story competitions etc.

Has collaborated with Jet Style, Beeline (Night of Museums), Microsoft (launch of Visual Studio 2001) and many others.
